Ok so I haven't posted in a while but thought I might give up some information about the happenings at our place so that you don't think that we fell off the face of the earth. I started another health and fitness blog that is for every ones health and nutrition education so check it out its great and the more you contribute and spread the word the better it will be and the more information/conversation we will be able to generate http://lovetobefitforlife.blogspot.com/.
Check it out and spread the word.
Nick is still in school plugging away and we both still work at crossfit and love it. My business is doing well. We had such a great time in St George with all the Ballstaedt family. Its was Rock's 30th year running so most his family and our family and some of Noels family were there. It was so much fun to get to know all the cousins better. Also I am so proud of my sister in law Hillary she qualified for Boston with time to spare. She is amazing. Great job!
Nick and I came close again (for the second year in a row) but was just shy of a qualifying time and really all this means is that before next years marathon we actually have to go out and run more than 3.2 miles in a shot. We did well considering we didn't train and it rained during practically the whole 26.2 miles but there is always room for improvement not only in our physical goals but in other areas of our lives as well.
Thanks for all your love and support.
Love Nick, Rebecca, Cooper, and Koda ;)
I think we dream so we don't have to be apart so long. If we're in each others dreams, we can be together all the time. Calvin and Hobbes.

Crossfit Games 2008
Ok so these pictures are random but I wanted to show you all how much fun we had at the crossfit games 2008 in Aromas California. Dont let Nick fool you he is an amazing athlete who placed in the top 25 of some of the most incredible athletes in the world. He was rubbing elbows with the strongest crossfiters there and he is too humble to tell you that he was one of them. I however placed 29th and all I can say is that I have consistency on my side I stayed right there the whole time. Not bad for our first go around of competition. Next year will be different as I think we are both more devoted and excited to do it next year.
The workouts were as follows
Workout A (Fran)
21-15-9
Thrusters 95/65
Pull Ups
They have laid down some pretty crazy rules on the movements. Pull ups won't count unless our CHEST touches the bar at the top! Ouch! Nick finished this in 5:05 I did it in 10:41 :(
Workout B
5 rounds
5 Deadlifts 275 for men /185 for women
10 burpees
Again, strict rules on form. Deadlifts cannot be dropped from the top...even on the last one. Burpees aren't complete unless your chest and thighs touch at the bottom and you clap while in the air up top. Nick finished in 3:33 and I did it in 4:19 :)
Hill Run
They say it is an off trail run straight up hill for 750 meters. Sounds easy enough but I have a feeling we don't know what we are in for on this! OFF TRAIL....hmmm I can see us now hopping over rocks and checking for ticks at the top! Nick finished in 3:40 and I did it in 5:00 :/
The last Workout of the day is 30 reps of 155lb for men and 100lb for women squat clean and jerks for time. Yikes!!! Nick finished his in like 7:14 and I finished in 10:14

Our group (left)was so much fun. Miranda (right) and Tyson (coach) Oldroyd, Melissa was our official fan, All the crew from Orem and Park City, Dont forget the volunteers.... There was one volunteer for every athlete who counted your reps which when you are moving that fast you are grateful for because you lose count. I had some of the coolest counters
. Angel who counted for both Nick and I was our favorite. (down and left)

Ragnar Relay Race Happy Anniversary!
Ragnar was a 9th century Norse King. He was a pirate, a raider, a conqueror, an explorer, and a wild man. The tough, fearless, rugged attributes of this Norse King are shared by all who participate in a Ragnar Relay. In much the same way, a Ragnar Relay provides runners the freedom to roam, to explore - a free-spirited
curiosity to get out there and experience outdoor adventure. And maybe even to conquer. And though tough or rugged may not perfectly describe you, these attributes become a goal - something to strive for.Nick running
First leg: 3.8 miles very hard 906 ft elevation gain.
Second leg: 4.6 miles moderate Third leg: 6.9miles very hard 1,978 elevation loss made like 20 some odd kills.
Amazing!

I never really think that my life is so exciting to actually write on paper but I do have to say that we have plenty going on as usual. Nick and I just had a birthday and for those of you who dont know we have the same birthday and we both turned the big 25. Nicholas is plugging away in shcool working as hard as ever taking his last few classes before he transfers to the University of Utah where he has been accepted into the accounting department. I admire his tenacity as it would be hard for me to focus with everything else that is going on. Koda is as big as Cooper now and she sleeps with her tounge half hanging out. One day she will grow into it. Both Nick and I are heading to California to compete in something called the crossfit games. It is sort of like the olympics of crossfit. http://www.aboutfacefit.com/ if you want to check it out. The owners of crossfit have also asked Nicholas and I to become certified to teach and personal traing and we are so delighted. Nicholas is a natural when it comes to lifting and exercising. Me on the other hand; needs a bit more coaching. We are so excited that Heather and Jo are expecting # two baby girl in October and can't wait to be able to go out in November for the baby blessing. We are getting ready to run the Ragnar Wasatch Back relay race on June 20-21st; the 21st being our annaversary. Then it will be full blown training for the St. George Marathon again in October. I think we have some sort of something planned for each month until the end of the year. It sure is nice to be busy though. I think that we need that. We still teach the Sunbeams every week and have actually grown to love it. We do miss out though on relief society and preisthood since we have not been since the beginning of the year. Thank you to all our family for being so much fun and so great. We love you all so much.
